Terra Nova owner Ken Foster standing in center next to mother Ellie and surrounded by family next to the first Terra Nova bicycle trailer in December 1991. Ellie was Terra Nova’s greatest cheer leader and supporter. She passed away just after Easter 2011. She and Ken’s father Herb on far right helped Ken buy the first Terra Nova truck in 1988. Ellie’s support and enthusiasm for the work Terra Nova does was instrumental in its success. A big heart felt thank you goes out to Ken’s late mother Ellie Foster.

Your Mom Ellie looks amazingly a lot like she did back in the sixties in that picture. Same big smile.
to me, she and your dad always embodied the Mother Earth News kind of urban pioneering movement that is still transforming the soulless consumer mindset into vibrant community.
Great find.
Good stuff.
Ken; all these years that we have known each other in one movement or another I never knew your parents were Ellie and Herb!!! I knew them long ago when I was running a group in the 1970’s. Sorry to hear of you mom’s passing.
